ASP.Net is the new scripting format released by Microsoft. ASP.Net attempts to simplify the transition a developers faces when moving from Windows applications to Web applications. ASP.Net applications run fully compiled and therefore normally run faster than classic ASP.
Dolphin Promotions have excellent experience of ASP.NET and over the next few years we will fully migrate to it. We still primarily program in ASP as we have built up a large number of functions used for website that have been extensively tested for reliability and security. Therefore clients will have longer development times with ASP.Net applications. Clients may request their site to be developed in ASP.Net if they wish but most clients will never notice the difference between the two technologies.
